Easy Crockpot French Dip Recipe
I love a good french dip. It’s one of those things I crave every now and again and I was stoked when I found out it was so easy to make in the crock pot. However, on one super busy morning, when I only had 15 minutes to get out the door, I realized I really didn’t have time to look up a recipe, so I just winged it and hoped for the best and y’all… it was delicious!
Ingredients:
3 Cups beef broth
1 packet of au jus seasoning
1 packet of onion soup mix
4-6 lbs beef roast
Sliced cheese of choice (I like pepper jack)
Sandwich rolls
1 tbs butter
Mix together beef broth, au jus seasoning, and onion soup mix and add to crockpot along with beef roast. Allow to cook on low for 6-8 hours. Remove roast and shred. It should be tender enough to shred with a fork. Before serving, butter sandwich rolls and toast under broiler (mine were perfect after 2 minutes). Add shredded roast onto sandwich rolls, top with cheese, and put them back under the broiler for another 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with the leftover au jus from the crockpot in a small bowl to dip.
