Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my days, outfits, and all the things I love.

What's In My Kiddo's Easter Basket

What's In My Kiddo's Easter Basket

My mom is a lot better at Holidays than I am.

It’s true. She’s the OG. The queen of Birthday decorations. The don of Christmas and Easter and all the happy family days. When I was little, I’d wake up bright and early on Easter so ready to see what the Easter Bunny had brought me. Easter was always a big deal in our house. Much like Santa, we would leave treats out for the Easter Bunny (carrots, obvi) and he would leave us a note along with our baskets and a huge egg hunt complete with clues.

So now, I obviously have to try to one-up her. Because that’s healthy.

But… Easter Baskets are hard. It’s hard to find stuff that isn’t just junk or candy or something silly that’ll end up in our garage sale this spring. But, it’s also hard not to go crazy and treat it like second Christmas. I wanted to show you guys what I’m putting in my kid’s Easter Basket because I get it. It’s hard.

Well… I guess it’s not a basket. This year I used galvanized metal buckets for two reasons: 1) the recipients of said baskets are my 11 year-old stepson and my 34 year old husband & buckets seemed more masculine somehow? and 2) I think they’ll be really cute in my garden this summer. I like buying things that can be utilized in more than just one way.
